Students will spend the year working on strengthening and flexibility exercises, as well as working on memorization and sequencing skills.  Lyrical will take ballet and jazz techniques and combine them to communicate the lyrics of the songs students are dancing to.  Students will focus on pirouettes in parallel, turns in second, leaps, and using their arms to express their movements.  This is for the dancer who hopes to eventually dance in advanced lyrical, who possesses the passion and the focus to learn new things and apply them both in class and on stage. This class is the gateway to teen lyrical and those students that wish to concentrate on lyrical with more focus.
